Why does it matter?

Clean fuel is so important to Ford F250 and F350 trucks that they come equipped with TWO fuel filters!

The first filter mounts on top of the engine on the left-hand side. The second filter is inside the diesel fuel conditioner module. The module is attached to the fuel tank in different locations depending on the configuration of your truck. Both filters should be replaced every 3rd oil change or every 15000 miles(24,140 km) or as indicated by the message center which ever comes first. Some indicators or clogged/dirty filers are: problems with starting; stalling; excessive vibration when driving; rough slow-speed cruising or excessive fuel pump noise.

There are fuel additives that can clean your injectors but they are not a substitue for replacing the fuel filters.

If the fuel filters are not replaced, they can do damage to the truck's motor that could cost $10,000 or more to repair.
